Research interests: Isotopes, Ecology, and fisheries

Biography
I am a second year majoring in Earth Sciences and Chemistry. I love learning and expanding my horizon of knowledge. Particularly, I am interested in geochemistry and anything involving the marine environment. I plan on placing a heavy emphasis on understanding environmental issues in my field throughout my undergraduate career.

Research
I am joining Zan’s existing research project regarding analysis of isotopic composition of red and vermillion snapper’s otoliths to determine fluctuations in their diet and habitat. This research is especially pressing as understanding the habits of these fish in the Gulf of Mexico will benefit both the fisheries in the area and develop a deeper ecological understanding of these species in general.
