Research
My research focuses on wetland biogeochemistry in Elkhorn Slough along the Central California
Coast. As part of a large project, I will assist in collecting cores, surface water, and groundwater
samples seasonally to analyze in the lab. This project will quantify and improve our
understanding of the surface and subsurface carbon cycling within different wetland ecosystems
of Elkhorn Slough. Nutrients and their roles in these wetland ecosystems will also be
investigated.
