Research interests: Policy Landscape for Wetlands Restoration for Decarbonization

My research focuses on innovation and public policy for decarbonization, energy and environmental transition currently working as a post-doctoral researcher at the
Interdisciplinary Center for Energy Planning in the University of Campinas (UNICAMP),
Brazil, sponsored by FAPESP.

At UCSC I will use surveys and focused interviews to assessing the policy landscape for reconstructing wetlands as a nature-based solution to combat climate change. I will also work on coastal wetlands ecosystem services valuation and who benefits from these benefits. This will ensure that wetland restoration projects are designed with environmental justice in mind.
